Laser tattoo removal at Cannelle uses advanced technology to fade ink gradually. Learn about sessions, healing time and safe aftercare.
According to a recent article in The Telegraph (May 2018) It’s estimated that about one in five of the UK population as a whole is tattooed and this figure rises to one in three for young adults.
We know from experience that what once seemed like the perfect piece of artwork to be inked forever on our bodies is often the cause of much misery and despair years later.
There are various tattoo removal systems available ranging from the downright dangerous (acid injections?!) to the expensive and unsuccessful so it is very important to do your research and choose a place that not only guarantees an effective treatment but also employs fully qualified, insured, experienced practitioners.
We use the Harmony XL Pro machine from Alma Lasers, one of the top 5 global leaders of energy based medical and aesthetic solutions.
Not all people know what to expect from a tattoo removal session so here are a few answers to those key pre treatment questions.
In short, possibly. Depending on the individual, the place of tattoo and the size pain will range from a little to quite a lot. Is the pain bearable? Yes. Particularly when it is removing something that is ruining your life and often preventing you from living your life as you wish.
This depends on a number of factors. Some inks are tougher than others to remove. If anyone guarantees a number of sessions needed before treatment begins stay well clear.
We have photos of clients who have great results after 5 sessions, some after a single session, some will take many more.

Again if someone guarantees complete removal of the ink before starting treatment be wary! We have seen many excellent results where the ink has been removed from the skin but equally some tattoos will leave what is known as ‘ghosting’ which is a faint outline of the original tattoo. Some clients are happy at this stage as they want to cover up with new artwork.
Yes with the Harmony XL Pro machine we can remove colours and blue black inks. Not all machines can. We have invested over £80,000 on state of the art laser and light based technologies at Cannelle Beauty MediSpa. Many alternative ‘cheap’ machines do not give results no matter how many sessions you pay for.
