Your Profhilo treatment starts with a consultation with Dr Mattia to assess your skin concerns, hydration levels and the areas most likely to benefit. The injections are placed using the BAP technique, which targets specific points to ensure smooth and even diffusion of the product. The procedure takes around twenty to thirty minutes and small bumps may appear at the injection sites immediately afterwards. These are normal and settle naturally.
Small raised bumps at each injection site are completely expected and typically begin to settle within six to twelve hours. You may also notice slight tenderness or warmth in the treated areas. These effects are short lived, and most patients resume normal activities the same day. Makeup should be avoided for twelve hours to keep the skin clean.
After your treatment, the initial bumps usually settle within the first twelve hours as the product disperses beneath the skin. Over the next week, you may feel your skin becoming more hydrated and soft. Improvements in texture, elasticity and radiance typically appear between weeks three and four. Once the second treatment is completed at around eight weeks, the full effect becomes visible and the skin appears smoother, firmer and more luminous.
Following your Profhilo treatment, avoid touching or massaging the treated areas to allow the product to settle evenly. Intense exercise should be avoided for twenty four hours, and activities involving heat such as steam rooms, saunas or hot yoga should be avoided for forty eight hours. Keep the sites clean and avoid makeup for twelve hours. Applying SPF daily helps support healing and protects the skin as collagen and elastin production increases.
